Notes: | Students with higher level language skills may complete in 1 year, or 2 years part-time. This course is designed to be taken over 3 years on a part-time basis. Students considering higher degree language study are encouraged to consider additional subjects and should seek advise from the course coordinator or a Faculty course adviser regarding an appropriate enrolment. Candidates with no knowledge of the language will commence at the beginners' level (Introductory Chinese 1A and Spoken Chinese 1A). Those who have completed previous study of the language will normally commence at a higher level, subject to approval by the course coordinator. Candidates with some background in a Chinese dialect will take subjects designed for background speakers (marked with an asterisk). |
