Dr Zhou ShaomingSubject Overview: | This subject is for students who have completed a course of study in Chinese at secondary school level. In building on the knowledge students already have, particular attention will be paid to expanding vocabulary, ensuring a good grasp of the basic grammar of spoken Chinese, and developing reading, writing and oral/aural skills. |

Assessment: | A 1-hour examination 30% (during the examination period), a 30-minute listening comprehension test 20% (during the examination period), a 10-minute oral test 20% (during the examination period), fortnightly tests 10%, a composition test 10% (at the end of semester) and continuous class participation 10%. |
