Students with a Chinese-speaking background
The Diploma consists of a three-year sequence of first-, second- and third-year language study and may add up to one year to the duration of the student’s degree course. See the Diploma course structure for details. |
Subject Options: | Beginners Stream Level 1 SubjectsThe beginners stream is for students who have little or no knowledge of Chinese.Subject Study Period Commencement: Credit Points: Beginners Stream Level 2 SubjectsStudents must take 37.5 points including CHIN20001 Chinese 2A and CHIN20002 Chinese 2B and one of the following:Subject Study Period Commencement: Credit Points: Beginners Stream Level 3 SubjectsStudents must take 37.5 points including CHIN30008 Chinese 3A and CHIN30009 Chinese 3B and one of the following:Subject Study Period Commencement: Credit Points: Post-VCE Stream Level 1 SubjectsThe post-VCE stream is usually only available to students with no background in Chinese who have obtained a pass in VCE Chinese or its equivalent.Subject Study Period Commencement: Credit Points: Post-VCE Stream Level 2 SubjectsSubject Study Period Commencement: Credit Points: Post-VCE Stream Level 3 SubjectsThree third-year subjects selected from the following:Subject Study Period Commencement: Credit Points: |
