Prior completion of, or concurrent enrolment in the subject Research in Applied Linguistics. For quantitative theses, prior completion of, or concurrent enrolment in, Quantitative Methods in Language Studies may be required. Students must obtain a H2A or coordinator approval to undertake a thesis.

A thesis of 10,000 words on an approved research project

Learning Outcomes:
  • developed time management and planning, and written communication, through the design, development and writing of a piece of research in the area of Applied Linguistics.
  • developed critical thinking and analysis through completing a critical review of previous research, data collection and analysis and coherent presentation of an extended piece of writing.
Assessment:

A thesis of 10,000 words
