This course provides an introduction to the design and delivery of language courses for specific purposes. (Examples of such courses are English for Academic Purposes, English for Business, languages in health care, and so on.) The course will introduce the theories of language, learning and context underlying the design of such courses, and will introduce current issues and debates in the area. |
