Course Overview:

The Graduate Certificate in Arts (Creative Writing) provides the opportunity for students to complete a short, coherent program of study in creative writing. The certificate is an entry point to an articulated structure of higher degree study in creative writing.

Objectives:

Students who complete the Graduate Certificate should

  • gain an introduction to writing across at least two genres
  • have had some experience of the writing workshop process
  • have developed the beginnings of an understanding of their own creative processes
Course Structure & Available Subjects:

A sequence of first to third year level undergraduate creative-writing subjects; 12.5 points at first year level, 37.5 points at second or third year levels: 50 points.

A total of 50 points - subjects are 12.5 points each, unless indicated otherwise.

Entry Requirements:

  • an undergraduate degree in any discipline.
