Course Overview:

The graduate diploma is an introductory course of concentrated language study in Hebrew. Students will acquire advanced level language skills and develop an understanding of Jewish culture. The course is an entry point to an articulated structure of higher degree study and may qualify graduates for entry to the postgraduate diploma.

Objectives:

Students who complete the graduate diploma should:

  • acquire a greater knowledge of contemporary spoken Hebrew for the purposes of practical use and understanding of the language;
  • become familiar with modern and contemporary Hebrew poetry, drama and prose.
Course Structure & Available Subjects:
  • six language subjects in a three year sequence
  • two elective subjects
Total 100 points - subjects are 12.5 points each, unless indicated otherwise.

  • an undergraduate degree in any discipline.
