This subject is to be undertaken by qualified teachers and consists of 22 days practicum placement. this practicum has been divided into two components. The first component is a 15-day placement in an approved special education or inclusive setting. The student will have the opportunity to observe and participate in classroom practice; to attend program planning/case management meetings and support group meetings; individual family support plans. the second component consists of 7 professional enhancement workshops which are conducted within semester 1 academic subjects. These subjects are designed to support and prepare the student for the professional practice. 100 per cent attendance is mandatory in this subject. |

Assessment: | Satisfactory completion of 15 days supervised teaching a setting and 7 days professional enhancement workshop (50 per cent) and assignments equivalent t5 2, 000 words (50 per cent), due throughout the semester. |
