Course Overview:

Melbourne Consulting and Custom Programs, in collaboration with the Key Centre for Women's Health in Society at the University of Melbourne, and Professor Fumi Horiguchi of Keio University, Japan, offer Japanese health professionals a fully articulated suite of three postgraduate courses in Women's Health.

The Master of Women's Health (by coursework)
All programs are part-time and are taught intensively over the Japanese summer holiday period each year. The programs are delivered in Japan and Australia and are taught and assessed in Japanese.

Objectives:

Graduates of the Postgraduate Diploma in Women’s Health will have:

  • a thorough professional preparation for graduates intending to work as clinicians, researchers, policy makers and educators in the expanding area of women’s health.
  • an ability to be responsive and sensitive to women’s needs
  • an increased knowledge of the health issues affecting women
  • focus on strategies which will optimise health, rather than on the treatment of disease and disorders
