Subject Overview:

This subject will explore a range of learning outcomes in school settings developing teaching practices that build on understandings developed in previous subjects. This subject will examine how an integrated curriculum is planned and implemented in schools. It will explore how to balance the developmental and learning needs of all children against the outcomes required for educational achievement, and how this achievement can be assessed and reported. The concept of curriculum integration will be developed through the context of VELS using science, technology, literacy and numeracy and other domains as examples of focal areas. The use of sustained, practical and comprehensive teaching tasks will be addressed.
