Objectives:

Students who complete the postgraduate diploma should:

  • engage in sophisticated discourse in German;
  • enhance their reading comprehension of the language and their written and spoken command of German;
  • enhance the ability to discuss, analyse and evaluate complex ideas in German;
  • become acquainted with recent critical theory and methodology.
Structure & Available Subjects: The Postgraduate Diploma in Arts in this area of specialisation requires:
  • thesis of 10 000 words written in German or 12 000 words in English (37.5 points)
  • five elective subjects (62.5 points)

Total 100 points - subjects are 12.5 points each, unless indicated otherwise.

Students must discuss the choice of electives with the coordinator or German convernor before enrolling.
