Currently, there is no pure honours program in social theory. This means that students must combine fourth-year honours in social theory with another program in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Melbourne. The prerequisites for entry to social theory honours are completion of all the requirements for the BA, completion of a major in social theory and an average grade over the second/third year subjects within the major equivalent to at least an H2A (75%). Students undertaking combined honours in Social Theory and another discipline must complete:
