Course Overview: The Postgraduate Certificate in Arts (Editing and Communications) provides an introduction to the dynamic field of publishing and communications. It also acts as an entry point to an articulated structure of higher degree study, and may qualify graduates for entry to the Postgraduate Diploma or Master of Arts courses in this area.

Students who successfully complete the postgraduate certificate should have:

  • an introductory knowledge of editorial principles and methods across a range of genres and media;
  • a practical knowledge of electronic editing and publishing for digital media; and
  • skills in research, writing and thinking critically about processes of change in the publishing and communications industries.

  • an undergraduate degree in a relevant area.
