.Course Overview: | This course is no longer offered. Students who commenced the Bachelor of Urban Planning and Development prior to 2008 should consult with a Course Adviser for enrolment advice. The Bachelor of Urban Planning and Development is a four-year degree accredited by the Planning Institute of Australia. It is available at both pass and honours levels (students can choose the honours stream at the end of third year). The BUPD is designed to equip graduates with the skills necessary to lead the development of socially just, environmentally sustainable, economically successful cities in Australia and internationally. |

Subject Options: | First YearSemester 1 121-171 Environmental Change Subject Study Period Commencement: Credit Points: Semester 2 Students may take either 166-103 Global Politics OR 166-111 Australian Society. Subject Study Period Commencement: Credit Points: Second YearSemester 1 Students may take either 166-022 Public Policy Making OR 121-022 Development and Urban Environments. Subject Study Period Commencement: Credit Points: Subject Study Period Commencement: Credit Points: Third YearSemester 1 705-345 Planning Law is optional for international students who do not anticipate working in Australia. If international students choose not to undertake it, they should instead take a 12.5 credit point elective.
