The Master of Advanced Nursing Practice (Mental Health) is a graduate coursework degree consisting of 150 points, Normally taking 2 Years of full-time study or part-time equivalent. The course offers a clinical practice component focused on a selected specialty area of nursing. Admission is based on at least one year of paid employment as a Registered Nurse working in acute or sub-acute healthcare facility within the five years prior to applying for the course, plus current employment and clinical support in a work environment that provides clinically relevant experience in the selected specialty area of nursing. The Master of Advanced Nursing Practice (Mental Health) prepares graduates to be clinically proficient, professionally articulate and ready to assume a major responsibility in developing new professional roles, devising new models of care and overseeing dynamic changes to practice. In the second year two streams are offered. Stream 1 comprises 150 credit points (10x 12.5 + 1x 25 capstone subject) of coursework. Stream 2 comprises 100 credit points of coursework (including 1 x 25 credit point research methods and 1 x 25 point capstone subject) and a 50 credit point minor thesis.

1. A Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent qualification); 2.
