To enrol in this subject, you must be admitted in the Specialist Certificate in Implementation Science. This subject is not available for students admitted in any other courses.

Subject Overview:

This subject will introduce students to the core elements of Implementation Science, both theory and practice. It will expose students to a number of different implementation conceptual models and frameworks and apply these to real life examples of implementation in the human service sector. The subject will also introduce student to the essential role data plays in driving implementation success. This will include the practice of systematically using data, information, and knowledge to set and drive change, evidence actual implementation, tracking outcomes and driving continuous improvement throughout the implementation cycle.

Learning Outcomes:

At the completion of this subject, students should be able to;

  1. Understand the core elements of Implementation Science
  2. Apply the theory of Implementation Science to practice examples
  3. Understand the role of evidence in practice
Assessment:
  • Written essay (1500 words) due mid term - 40%
  • Written implementation plan proposal (1000 words) due at the end of term - 15%
  • Written essay (2500 words) due at the end of term - 45%
