Subject Overview: |
In this professional practice subject, students undertake the equivalent of 15 days of supervised professional practice in a specific learning disability setting. The focus of the placement is on diagnosing and remediating literacy learning disabilities. The setting can be either segregated or inclusive. It will provide students with the opportunity to design, implement and evaluate interventions for students who have literacy learning disabilities. It may be undertaken in their own workplace if a suitably qualified supervisor is available. Students will need to attend workshops/seminars. |
