There is no commencing student intake into this course.

Honours in Vision Science is a one-year program designed to extend students' knowledge and skills through a supervised research project together with advanced coursework in vision science.

Admission requirements

In addition to satisfying the Bachelor of Science (Degree with Honours) or Bachelor of Biomedicine (Degree with Honours) entry requirements, students are required to have completed stream specific prerequites.

Honours in Vision Science is available as start of year intake and mid year intake.

Learning Outcomes:

The objectives of the Honours program in Vision Science include providing students with opportunities to

  • Conduct research in vision sciences or optics
  • Acquire skills in defining and solving problems
Structure & Available Subjects:

Research
Students must complete 75 points of research.

Coursework
Students must complete 25 points of coursework.

Subject Options:

Research component

Students enrol in a total of 75 points of research project across the duration of the Honours program. This is achieved by enrolling in the following subject across two consecutive semesters to achieve a total 75 credit points.

Notes:

Students enrolled in the Honours program in Vision Science are required to attend and participate in Departmental seminars, including the Vision Science Seminar Series and Journal Club.
