| Subject Overview: |
This course provides keyboard skills for non-pianists and develops accompaniment skills for pianists. Students will examine intervals, chords, scales, chord symbols, common harmonic progressions, common song forms and sight-reading with a view to practical execution on the keyboard. Much of this material is also covered in Aural Studies, and the Keyboard class enables students to consolidate these materials in a workshop environment. The class is structured so that students can work through the material at their own pace, presenting each module for individual testing |
