Internship accompanied by academic objectives that is supervised by a MUP (or possibly some other MSD) member of staff, that enables the student to gain applied experience and reflect on the experience, both theoretically and in an applied manner.
The proposed subject arises from requests from students and the view that applied experience is a relevant academic outcome. The objective of the elective is to enable the student to gain practical experience and to develop her/his expertise, both in respect of theoretical understanding and career interests.
1 x 5,000 word essay, which may or may not include diagrams and designs (100%), due end of semester.
