Subject Overview: |
As the culminating experience of the history major, Making History provides a bridge between the undergraduate experience and professional practice. The subject will firstly draw together a range of topics in the theory and practice of the discipline. Archival research will be a core element of student project work. An emphasis will be placed on the practice of history in the community beyond the classroom, and on the role of the historian in civic engagement and action. Students will complete a research task in which the topics and thematic or geographical focus may vary from year to year. |
