English for Academic Purposes is designed to develop student's writing, reading and study skills. The main aims of the susbject are therefore to develop your skills in the following areas:

Expressing ideas
Negotiating

Assessment: |
Synthesis/analytical essay of 800 words produced in an exam setting (25%) due during the examination period; oral argumentative tutorial presentation (25%) to be made mid-semester; research essay of 1500 words (40%) due at the end of the teaching period. Attendance and participation (10%). Attendance of 75% OF ALL CLASSES is a hurdle requirement in order to pass this subject. |
