Subject Overview:

A study of the relationship between pedagogical beliefs (theory and policy) in language and literacy education and classroom practice. Emphasis will be on the nature and scope of language and literacy education in the primary school; the process involved in translating theory and policy into classroom practice; and the fundamental role that language and literacy play in all learning areas within the primary curriculum.
