Bachelor of Environments (Honours) Landscape Management

Students will undertake subjects in research methods, and a major independent research project. They will develop a deep understanding of the area of investigation as well as research training. In addition, students will take an additional subject selected from options dealing with social and biophysical aspects of landscape management. This will further advance their understanding of landscape management.

• To provide students with the methods needed to carry out an effective research program
• To ensure students understand what is required to review critically a scholarly body of literature in landscape management
• To ensure students gain the skills needed to communicate their research intentions and results
• To ensure students gain some grounding in the history, philosophy or scope of the discipline of landscape management

The program is comprised of a 75 point research subject (a combination of 2 subjects worth 25 + 50 points; or 2 x 37.5 points), a 12.5 point research methods subject and a 12.5 point elective in Landscape Management.

Core subjects

Students are required to complete a 75-point core research project by enrolling in a combination of the Geography - Environmental Studies Thesis subjects to make up these credit points. Please note the table below is being updated and may show incorrect information.

The correct subjects are as follows:

GEOG40002 Geography - Environmental Studies Thesis - 25 credit points,

GEOG40007 Geography - Environmental Studies Thesis - 37.5 credit points, and

GEOG40008 Geography - Environmental Studies Thesis - 50 credit points.
