Structure & Available Subjects:	Major A major in Islamic studies usually consists of eight 12.5-point subjects, totalling 100 points and comprising: Level 1 One first-year core subject and one first-year subject in any Arts discipline Level 2 Two core subjects; and One optional subject Level 3 One core subject; and One optional subject;and The compulsory capstone subject (this subject will only be available to students completing a major in Islamic Studies). Total 100 points Minor A minor in Islamic studies usually consists of six 12.5-point subjects, totalling 75 points, comprising: Level 1 One first-year core subject and one first-year subject in any Arts discipline Level 2 One core subject One optional subject Level 3 One core subject One optional subject. Total 75 points

The capstone is not available to students completing a minor or breadth studies.
