Screen Studies

The minimum entry requirement for screen studies honours is completion of all the requirements for the BA, with completion of a major in screen studies, entry to honours in another area of study, and an average grade over the second/third year subjects within the screen studies major equivalent to at least an H2A (75%).

Students undertaking pure honours in screen studies must complete:

• Screen Studies Thesis (37.5 points); and
• MULT50001 Research Principles and Practices (*see note below) (12.5 points); and
• four honours subjects in screen studies (50 points).

Students undertaking combined honours in screen studies and another discipline must complete:

• Screen Studies Thesis (37.5 points); and
• MULT50001 Research Principles and Practices (*see note below) (12.5 points); and
• one honours subject in screen studies (12.5 points); and
• three honours subjects in the combining discipline (37.5 points).

OR

• honours thesis in the combining discipline (37.5 points);
• two honours subjects in the combining discipline (25 points); and
• three honours subjects in screen studies (37.5 points).

*Note: Students must undertake MULT50001 Research Principles and Practices in the first semester of their Screen Studies Thesis enrolment.
