This course is no longer taking new enrolments. The last intake into this program was Semester 2, 2009.
This subject will teach a systematic approach to echocardiographic interpretation and reporting. The focus of the subject is to integrate knowledge from all the previous subjects and to test the student with actual echocardiographic examinations.
|Objectives:||Subject Objectives: |
o on completion of this subject, students should;
o learn commonly used terminology for echocardiography reporting.
o learn systematic approach for reporting.
o Practice interpretation and reporting using actual case scenarios
o identify and report limitations of the study including issues such as technical quality of the study, artefact generation, or inadequate echocardiography examination.
o Incorporate available haemodynamic information with the echocardiography examination to better determine haemodynamic evaluation.
|Assessment:||Open book multiple choice question exam 50 questions per subject (80%). Self assessment modules in the workbooks (20%). The University reserves the right to review these worksheets if there are any doubts about the authenticity of the students work, or to monitor student progress.|
