The Flute Ensemble rehearses and performs repertoire from the 18th to the 20th centuries, both as a large ensemble of between fifteen and twenty flautists and as smaller flute chamber groups. The group often uses less common members of the flute family—such as E flat flute and bass flute—as well as the orchestral piccolo and alto flute.
|Objectives:||On completion of this subject students should be able to: |
|Assessment:||Assessment will be on a pass/fail basis and will be based on preparation of parts, individual and/or sectional practice and active participation in all rehearsals, classes and performances as directed (100%). |
Less than 80% attendance will result in a fail.
