|Subject Overview:||If the firm understands what business it is in, and how to manage that business it will also need to know where it wants to be in the future and how to get there. This subject focuses, therefore, on defining corporate strategy - on change and strategy decay in urban freight systems, on identifying and appreciating what the drivers of change may be and on how change might be managed in the short and medium term. In particular, it will seek to provide: |
Sills in strategic analysis, strategic choice and strategy
implementation through case study and syndicate exercises;
Understanding of 'exit strategies' and/or of retrofit solutions for some urban freight systems or elements of those systems; and
The role of technology, infrastructure and/or e-Business solutions in effective urban freight systems
|Objectives:||Please note: this subject is currently closed and MCCP is not accepting enrolments.|
|Assessment:||Assessment, for each of the three subjects in the Certificate, is by way of a seminar presentation (10 percent), a group syndicate project and presentation (40 percent) and a Research Report (50 percent).|
