  • Economics of the pharmaceutical sector
  • Subsequent WTO instruments: Negotiations and usage
  • National implementing legislation, FTAs
  • Relevant work in the World Health Organization (WHO).
Objectives:

A student who has successfully completed this subject should:

  • Be able to understand the World Trade Organization (WTO ) Trade-Related Property Rights (TRIPS) Agreement and subsequent WTO instruments and the debates in relation to public health
  • Be able to understand better the working of the WTO.
