As for Sculpture and Spatial Practice 3 with the expectation that students will demonstrate a higher degree of conceptual, aesthetic and practical ability.
Informal, formative assessment of developing and finished work takes place in the form of group 'critiques' on a regular, rolling basis. Formal, summative assessment of the entire semester folio takes place at the end of the semester at a place and time determined by the Head of Department, and in accordance with the Assessment Policy of the School of Art. For end of semester assessment, each student submits a folio of work that demonstrates engagement with the course, the development of ideas and skills, and a personal direction. Documentation of ephemeral works or works completed off-campus, visual diaries and other notations done in direct relation to the course structure are all admissible (100%).
