English for Academic Purposes is designed to develop student's writing, reading and study skills. The main aims of the susbject are therefore to develop your skills in the following areas:
|Assessment:||Synthesis/analytical essay of 800 words produced in an exam setting (30%) due during the examination period; oral argumentative tutorial presentation (30%) to be made mid-semester; research essay of 1500 words (30%) due at the end of the teaching period. Attendance and participation (10%). Attendance of 75% is a hurdle requirement inorder to pass this subject.|
