Prerequisites: Generally this subject is only available to students who have completed 100 points of the MUP.

The student will need to find a suitable internship placement.

Approval to complete the internship must be obtained from the Program Coordinator via an application form which will include a 300 word summary of the activities to be undertaken and the academic value of these activities. For further information please contact the Student Centre.

Subject Overview: Internship accompanied by academic objectives that is supervised by a MUP (or possibly some other MSD) member of staff, that enables the student to gain applied experience and reflect on the experience, both theoretically and in an applied manner.
Objectives: The proposed subject arises from requests from students and the view that applied experience is a relevant academic outcome. The objective of the elective is to enable the student to gain practical experience and to develop her/his expertise, both in respect of theoretical understanding and career interests.
Assessment: 1 x 5,000 word essay, which may or may not include diagrams and designs (100%), due end of semester.
