Subject Options:	Core subjects Students enrolled in the English Language specialisation should take one of the following Core subjects. Subject Study Period Commencement: Credit Points: LING90018 Sociolinguistics and Language Learning Semester 1 12.50 LING90019 English in a Globalised World Semester 2 12.50 Students enrolled in this specialisation should ALSO take two of the following Core subjects. Subject Study Period Commencement: Credit Points: LING90016 Grammar & Discourse Semester 1 12.50 LING90005 Quantitative Methods in Language Studies Semester 1 12.50 LING90015 English Phonetics and Phonology Semester 2 12.50 Elective subjects Students planning to enrol in Coursework only should take five of the following Electives subjects (62.5 points). Students planning to enrol in the Minor Thesis should take three of the following Elective subjects (37.5 points) and the Minor Thesis subject (25 points).Note the thesis requires two consecutive semester of enrolment.
