Subject Overview: Under the supervision of at least one academic staff member, the student will undertake original academic research on a significant and professionally relevant topic. S/he will write a thesis based on the results of that research. Students will be encouraged to write a thesis in a format that might be appropriate to, or readily adapted for, publication in an academic research journal.
Objectives: Students who complete this subject will be able to:
• demonstrate competence in proposing, researching, analyzing, and writing up a piece of academic research that contributes to the body of knowledge in the broad area of e-Forensic Investigation and Enterprise Security;
• demonstrate the ability to write in a form suitable for dissemination in academic forums; and
• engage in the process of producing original research.
