Lectures, demonstrations and workshops in 16mm film. Each student has the opportunity to direct two exercises that they have written, as well as crew for other students in areas such as production managing, sound recording, assistn directing, camera operating, lighting, art directing, continuity, assistant editing and sound post production. Students also undertake a short specialist study in such areas as Animation, Visual Effects, Producing or Documentary. |

Assessment: |
Continuous and based on submission of exercises and crewing undertaken: 4-8 minute exercise (40%); 1-2 minute exercise (10%); crewing on other student productions (30%). Class participation* and class exercises (equivalent 2500 words) (20%). (*Participation assessed on criteria of engagement, ability to discuss and give/receive feedback and teamwork skills.) For this subject there is an 80% attendance hurdle for workshops, classes, lectures, demonstrations and tutorials. |
