| Subject Overview: |
A study of the theory and practice of good management and effective leadership as it applies to a range of organisational styles in the arts, considering and comparing the not-for-profit and commercial sectors. Topics will include but not be limited to: creating visions for arts organisations, the theory and practice of strategic planning, managing different types and sizes of organisations, managing staff and stakeholders. |

| Assessment: | An oral presentation and seminar paper equivalent to 1500 words 30% (due mid semester) and a written assignment or case study of 3500 words 70% (due at the end of semester). |
