Education Student CentreSubject Overview: | This subject develops participants' research, critical thinking, reading and writing skills as well as their ability to plan and write a review of literature and present a research-topic-related review fluently and confidently. Particular attention is paid to the grammatical and structural aspects of written and spoken research discourse. Students research, synthesise, write and present on a topic that is relevant to their field of study. The subject has a supported experiential learning emphasis. |

Assessment: | Written tasks totalling 1,500 words (40 per cent); oral presentation of approximately 15 minutes (25 per cent); integrated listening/reading/writing tasks equivalent to 600 words (30 per cent); seminar participation (5 per cent) |
