Subject Overview: |
Students of this subject will explore ways in which the arts industry is organised and the many different activities that intersect in bringing artist and audience together. The approach to the material will be topic-based and will include lectures on and discussion of various aspects of the arts industry. Guest lecturers from the industry will be regular participants in the lecture program and students may be required to undertake brief field excursions. |

Objectives: | Students who successfully complete these subjects will:

Assessment: | A research paper of 2000 words for 3rd year or 2500 words for 4th year and a 20-minute tutorial presentation 50% (due progressively during the semester) and an art project presentation and documentation of 2000 words for 3rd year or 2500 words for 4th year 50% (due at the end of semester). A hurdle requirement of a minimum 80% attendance required. |
