Course Overview: This course aims to enable students from any previous discipline to acquire specialised expertise in Management and sub-disciplines, such as Human Resource Management, International Management, Operations and Strategic Management and Marketing Management. The course structure consists of eight semester-long subjects, comprising three core subjects and five elective subjects.
Objectives: On successful completion of this course, students should be able to:
  • Identify and apply specialist expertise relevant to the various sub-disciplines of Management, such as Human Resource Management, International Management, Operations and Strategic Management and Marketing Management (relative to their particular area of interest); and
  • Critically analyse management theory.
Course Structure & Available Subjects: The course consists of eight semester-long subjects comprising three core subjects and five elective subjects.

Five elective subjects:

Select five elective subjects from second and third year offerings of the Department of Management. One of these may be a second year (level two) subject; the remainder must be third year (level three) subjects.

Subjects beginning with 325-2** and 325-3** are second year and third year subjects respectively.
