Time Commitment: Contact Hours: Regular meetings with the supervisor

Prerequisites: Admission to 4th year honours in Spanish.

Subject Overview: A program of advanced seminars on a current topic in Spanish taught at La Trobe University. The topic studied varies from year to year depending on the availability of expert staff in the La Trobe Spanish program. Details will be available on the noticeboard at the end of semester 2 of the preceding year.
  • have a profound knowledge of the aspect of Spanish language, culture, literature or society which they have researched;
  • have developed skills in pursuing independent research into a topic of particular interest to them under regular supervision and reporting on it in the pre-arranged manner; and
  • at fourth year, be prepared for and able to undertake independent research on a more challenging scale.
Assessment: Essay/s or a research report of 5,000 words depending on the particular seminar being taken. Details will be available on the noticeboard prior to semester.
