Subject Overview:

Analysis of seven music programs with case material, including: Positive Affect; Relationships; Creativity 1; Transitions; Mostly Bach; Grieving; Emotional Expression 1.

Objectives:

On completion of this subject, students will have analysed music programs, and gained skill in:

  • Analysis of the music structure of the program;
  • Analysis of the psychological impact of the music;
  • Understanding the therapeutic effects of the music programs on clients' experiences.
Assessment:

An analysis of one of the above programs, with client case material (1500 words).
