Time Commitment: Contact Hours: One 2hr seminar/tutorial each week plus regular meetings with the supervisor. The meetings with the supervisor may be weekly, fortnightly or as determined by agreement between the student and the supervisor.
Total Time Commitment: Three hours of non-contact study each week for the preparation of the research proposal.

Subject Overview: This subject is the second of two research project subjects taken by students enrolled in the Posgraduate Diploma in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

In semester 1, students selected a research topic and completed a literature review. In semester 2, students will continue to provide literature reveiws related to seminar topics as well as continuing on with the development of a research project which should be submitted as an assignment for review by the end of the semester.

Objectives: To develop a research project to be submitted as an assignment for review by the end of the second semester.
Assessment:

Students are required to complete an assignment of approximately 5,000 words detailing their research project. This is worth 100% of the marks for this subject.
