Subject Overview:	This subject focuses on the leadership and management competencies necessary to create an effective environment to enhance student learning and success. Topics include: teaching and learning methodologies, assessing student needs, staff development, curriculum administration and structure, computer-based learning, organizational culture, and assessment and reporting.
Assessment:	Written assignment or project equivalent to 4,000 words (100 per cent).

Generic Skills:	On completion of this subject, students will be able to: create an effective environment to enhance student learning and success; anticipate and plan strategically for curriculum change within a specified context; develop and implement strategies for shared leadership and high achievement; and understand the leadership competencies which help create conditions for successful learning Generic Skills: On completion of this subject, students will be able to: Demonstrate a range leadership and management competencies necessary implement organisational change; Understand curriculum design in a range of educational setting understanding teaching and learning approaches in a range of contexts; Demonstrate planning and strategic thinking skills.
