Topics include: molecular biology; carbohydrate and lipid structure; water soluble vitamins; metabolic chemistry and lipid soluble vitamins and blood coagulation.
A 2-hour written examination at the end of semester (60%). One 1-hour test will be held during the semester (25%) and indicated in the teaching timetable available at the commencement of the semester. One 1500-2000 word essay/assignment on a choice of 2-3 diseases given to students on the first day of semester and due 2/3 of the way through semester (15%).
