Subject Overview:

This subject focuses on practical Spanish language and grammar, with an introduction to modern Spanish and Latin American culture. Written texts, radio and TV material, films and literary texts will be used to sharpen and develop performance in speaking, listening, reading and writing, and to broaden the student's knowledge of Hispanic culture.

Assessment: A 1-hour test 30% (at the end of semester), written work of 2,500 words 55% and oral/aural work 15%. Students must pass the end of semester written test in order to pass the subject.
