Kate MacNeillSubject Overview: | Students are provided with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge developed in the course to a practical work environment and to observe professional practice within the field of arts management. Students must select one of two models: field experience, or a research project pertaining to arts industry practice and policy. Students will be allocated an appropriate mentor either in their work placement or in the course. Students undertaking research projects will liaise with their academic coordinator. |

Assessment: | Written work totalling 5000 words. For fieldwork students the 5000 words comprises a written journal of 1500 words 30%, an analytical report of 3000 words 60% and an evaluation of 500 words 10% by the workplace mentor (due end of semester). Research project students will submit a paper of 5000 words 100% (due end of semester). |
