Students will work in a practical seminar setting at the harpsichord or organ, developing their ability to realise basso continuo through the progressive acquisition of skills in chord progressions and cadences, and the application of these to music of graded difficulty. Students will work in small groups and individually with the lecturer. On completion of this course students should be able to:
