This subject provides students with an opportunity to read and listen to various types of authentic Japanese materials with some modification and learn to communicate on a wide range of topics. Students will learn100 kanji (Chinese characters) and will be introduced to various aspects of Japanese culture. Computer laboratory instruction will support the curriculum.
|Assessment:||Oral test (week 12) 15%, an oral presentation 5% (week4Ëœ8), a Listening test 15% ( week 11), written assignments 20% ( due in week 9, the other week4Ëœ8) and a final examination 50%(examination period).|

This subject is available at level one for students who are completing the advanced stream of Japanese. It is only available at level two for students completing the post-VCE stream of Japanese, and level three for beginners stream Japanese student.
