Dr Jon FordSubject Overview: | This subject aims to build on the students' clinical skills required of physiotherapists working as primary contact practitioners in areas of specific practice by creating an opportunity to refine skills in examination, differential diagnosis and clinical decision making. The subject exposes students to the examination and physiotherapy management of pathologies affecting the neuro-musculo-skeletal system.As part of this process students will explore selected mechanisms of injury and disease affecting the neuro-musculo-skeletal system, the resulting pathokinematics, and the rationale for clinical tests used in differential diagnosis. |
